Tuesday, February 23
Day 1: Depart Home City /Arrive Liberia International Airport (LIR), Costa Rica. Transfer from airport to Casa Conde del Mar hotel, Playa Panama (15 minutes). Evening Welcome reception and dinner at hotel. (D)

Wednesday, February, 24
Day 2: Enjoy the beautiful ocean view during breakfast. Morning class will be held at the hotel. Board a catamaran for an afternoon cruise which includes lunch, open bar, and panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and coastline. Arrival back at the hotel for dinner. (B, L, D)


Thursday, February, 25
Day 3: Depart Playa Panama by motorcoach and travel along the rolling green hills while watching a Burridge DVD and Bob will lecture. Upon arrival at Tilaran, head along the north shore of Costa Rica’s largest inland body of water, Laguna de Arenal, with our final destination of La Fortuna, where the majestic Arenal volcano is located. Check into Arenal Paraiso resort, lunch and an afternoon painting at the hotel. Dinner on your own and evening at leisure. (B, L)

Friday, February, 26
Day 4: Enjoy a picturesque breakfast followed by morning class held at the hotel. For those not painting and/or interested, there is an optional canopy tour departing from the hotel (additional cost). Following lunch the group will depart for the Springs Resort and Spa. An optional (no charge) tour of the Wildcat Rescue Center is available at the Springs. Explore the hot springs, lush tropical grounds and buffet dinner at leisure. (B, D)

Saturday, February 27
Day 5: After breakfast, take a private tour to Cano Negro Wildlife Preserve. A favorite for bird-watchers. This floating safari is through the rainforest, pastures, and marshland with a tour guide giving an ecological history of the area and assisting to spot wildlife. Dinner on your own at hotel or go by taxi to LaFortuna. (B, L)


Sunday, February 28
Day 6: After breakfast, travel to the Arenal airport for our morning chartered flight to the Osa Peninsula. We will land in the pristine rainforest surrounded by the rugged natural beauty of one of the most biologically intense places on Earth. After check in, we will meet for an afternoon of painting. Dinner on site at hotel (B, L, D)


Monday, February 29

Day 7: After breakfast, day trip to the Corcovado National Park, which is the largest and only tropical primary lowland rainforest in the world. We will travel with a local naturalist who will help identify the abundance of endangered plant and animal species. Don’t forget your swimsuit; we will be stopping at a waterfall for a swim and picnic. There will be a few hours to paint, sketch, and photograph the rainforest. Return to Drake Bay for dinner at the hotel. (B, L, D)


Tuesday, March 1 ̬

Day 8: Enjoy a picturesque breakfast followed by morning class held at the hotel. We will break for lunch and continue painting in the afternoon. For those not painting and/or interested, there is an optional boat trip out to Cano Island for snorkeling and a beach picnic. Scuba is available with pre-reservations. (Cano Island trip departs from the hotel, additional cost). A group reception and dinner at the hotel. (B, L, D)


Wednesday, March 2

Day 9: With an early breakfast, we will depart by boat up the Rio Sierpe to Sierpe where we will board the coach and travel to the Espiritu Santo Coffee Plantation. Enjoy a tour of the coffee plantation, lunch, coffee tasting and painting. Continue by coach to San Jose for our last evening as a group in Costa Rica. Dinner on your own. Thursday, March 3
Day 10: Departure from San Jose airport. Transfers to airport available at any hour of the day. (no meals)
